Our cast-to-size tooling is produced from near net size patterns made from a variety of materials including wood, plastics and foam. A typical vacuum form tool can be produced from a customer supplied pattern in as little as 1.5 weeks. We have single pour capacity of up to 4,000 lbs and can handle large mold sizes of up to 20,000 lbs with flasks as large as 8′ x 12′.

Specialized Castings can supply a complete production ready tool with secondary services such as drilling vacuum holes, manifold stainless steel waterlines, pattern making and machining. The thermoform tooling can simply be polished and used or they can have a minimal amount of stock removed for tighter tolerances. Compared to traditional machined tooling, cast-to-size tooling can dramatically increase your control of the tools temperature.
